Stevie Wonder is one of the most talented musicians of our time. Stevie started his music career at the age of 11 and his songs started hitting Billboard around the age of 13. He's is easily recognized by his unique voice and the sunglasses have now become part of his personality.
Stevie is known to wear sunglasses because he's blind, but there are other conspiracy theorists who either prove or believe the singer simply pretended to be blind for some reason. A bold symmetry article listed some of the reasons Stevie isn't actually blind.
One of them happened during an appearance on "SNL" where Stevie was seen picking up a microphone that almost fell near him.

Some theorists say that if he was really blind he wouldn't have had the reflex of light to catch it. Another reason given is that Stevie often attends NBA games and sits on the sidelines, apparently watching the action behind his sunglasses.
Deadspin also provided photos of Stevie snapping a photo with a digital camera, as well as reaching for someone in a one-sided embrace as she sang.

Stevie Wonder is actually blind
Steve Wonder barely saw the light, he spent his entire life blind, but he was not born that way. He was a premature baby born six weeks before his actual birth date, which required him to be incubated. He was exposed to high levels of oxygen while in the incubator, which resulted in ROP and caused him to lose his eyesight.
According to the National Eye Institute, ROP is quite common in premature babies and can affect both eyes. Although most children with ROP have a mild case that may improve over time, some develop severe ROP which can lead to complete blindness.
Stevie Wonder spoke about his condition in an interview with Oprah and said the doctor who treated him when he was born did not have information available on how much oxygen to give to premature babies. In fact, another premature baby said he was born the same day he died due to excess oxygen. However, Stevie said she didn't feel bitterness towards the doctor because what he did was unintentional. Growing up, Stevie learned to do things blindly and relied solely on his other senses. Although he's still seen wearing sunglasses, he once took them off when he was inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989, and both eyes appeared to be severely compromised.
