Being a Freddie Mercury and following his band and official account on Instagram my news feeds are completely spammed with posts from Freddie Mercury’s and the Bands fan accounts. Scrolling through them one after the other I came across a fan page which revealed a little fact about the song “One Vision” and the song's appearance in GTA.

The Fan Account shared the picture of the band members in the video clip of the song and wrote about the inspiration of that song. Ok lets come to the point and give you some hints/details about the song.

“One Vision” is a song which was written by Roger Taylor and recorded by Queen, released on November 1985 and then added into their album “A Kind Of Magic”. This song was inspired by the life of the Great “Martin Luther King”, the lyrics state a man battling and overcoming the odds. In 2011 BBC documentary “Queen: Days of Our Lives” Roger Taylor said that his lyrics were sort of nicked off Martin Luther King’s famous speech.

The video version of this song featured a morphing effect of the bands pose from the classic “Bohemian Rhapsody”. This song was one of the songs to be included in all of Queens live concerts performances of “The Magic Tour” and also the song to kick-off a show. And they claim that this song made a perfect concert intro.

The music video was recorded in September 1985 and this was the first song to be directed by Australian Directors DoRo.  DoRo and Queen developed a fruitful working relationship which would result in numerous award-winning videos like “Innuendo” and “The Show Must Go on”

The fan account also revealed a rarely known information about the connection between “One Vision” and GTA IV. The game used a part of Queens One Vision in the game's soundtrack and also in an in-game radio stations song. Which many would have ignored or left unnoticed. Yeah, the song was very similar to the storyline of GTA IV the hero was betrayed by his own friends, Then he fought his battles and overcame his fears to defeat them and bring light to the city and his life. The ending of the game makes sense once the villain is dead, the sun rises in NYC and that could be related to One Vision.

I went and checked it out the song appeared in Liberty Rock Radio 97.8. whoever wants to have a look please do. Ciao.
